To CGK
I am fairly new to this ( diagnosed in October ) and I am not sure what constitutes a severe flair up... I have been in the same boat since my diagnosis ( more or less ).
Daily routine, wake up once or twice in the early hours and have minor bowel movements... then between 6 and 7 I have a major movement and THAT really takes a lot out of me ( in more ways than one ). AFTER this movement my lower stomach is quite sore and I usually go back to bed and put the heating pad on my lower tummy.
Then between 8 and 9 am I take my meds ( 2 Mezavant ) , eat a small breakfast and then, for the most part my BM issues are done for the rest of the morning... I snack at work ( healthy of course ) and then when I go home for lunch ( live very close to my office... ) I usually have another BM or two...
I MIGHT have another movement or two in the evenings, but this is the standard day.
I take some Metamusil at night to help things along and I only take the Mezavant for colitis... I have also tried doing the Salofalk injections you know where, but have had limited success with that... Bottom line, many times it doesn't stay in there very long... LOL. I am sure that will help with the inflammation, but it has to be there for a while before it can help, I'm sure.
For the past couple of weeks, I have felt this feeling of dizzyness and extreme tiredness... and I felt this same way about 2 months ago... This part of my routine seems to come and go despite my bathroom colitis issues not changing drastically.
Thanks for your reply
