I am now only using them a couple times a week, and I must admit that I often rationalize that "tomorrow night will be soon enough". I really don't want the bother - especially if I have to get up to release during the night.
I find that some sleep-aid (herbal tea, melatonin, or prescript
ion) and some hemorrhoid ointment (especially one with a little dubicane) and a trash can next to the bed make the process minimal bother. I want to insert and then drop off to sleep quickly. I don't want to be laying on my bathroom floor. My system is working pretty well for me. But, I guess from my demonstrated procrastination, I still resent them.
But, they helped a lot - especially with urgency.
I used some hydrocortisone enemas initially to help improve retention ability. Then I introduced the Rowasa, alternating or mixing with hydrocortisone. Now I am beginning a trial of 2x weekly sulfate free Rowasa. IT is pricy, but if I can maintain on 4-5 a month, I can afford it.
