Ive had a full colectomy due to unlcerative colitis

Hello all,

In 2005 I had a full colectomy after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and now I find that Im having erectile dysfunction issues and would like to know if anyone here has this symptom as well...

I also may have helpful information for those of you that have had the j-pouch procedure and suffer from occasional pouchitis.

Hey Gus,

You would get a much better response either on the Ostomy forum here on Healing Well or on j-pouch.org. Not too many active users here on the UC board have had collectomies so we can't give too much advice. Please check out the Ostomy forum.

There is a really good discussion about this at j-pouch.org. It definitely happens, but I understand there are things that can help. Thank you for being willing to ask a very personal question.
