Well, maybe not OT- the resulting antibiotic resistant e.coli could be the tip of the iceberg... anyway, just another reason to try and avoid non organic/free range meat like the plague as much as possible

It's always something. I may as well raise my kids in a bubble.

I don't want to go off topic but my husband is always coming home and telling me this and that is going to kill us or cause us cancer. When the good Lord has your number, you're outta here! I can't keep up with all the stuff that is bad for us!

What really bugs me lately is that a lot of whole chickens are being sold "infused" with a solution that you may not know about
'til you start slicing into the cooked bird & encounter a kind of slimy section of white meat. Yuck! The solution contains carageenan & seasoning among other unneeded stuff. / Old Hat (31 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

To me avoiding processed food and factory farmed food is a no brainer, not a matter of throwing ones hands in the air. Eat food, not garbage we did not evolve on. The odds eventually catch up with us and we can't control our genes or bad luck, but we may as well stack the odds- esp. those of us already scxwed iver by auto-immune guts. Old Hat- you are spot on re. The injecting of crxp into processed chicken and turkey- and i avoid them having learned they can instantly flare me.
