I had 12 years of remission after my children were born. I had a flare after my first 11 lb 10 oz boy was born and a moderate flare in the last trimester of the second pregnancy. As long as you eat well, exercise (especially Kegel flexes), and get plenty of support from friends and family you should have a healthy pregnancy. Congratulations!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I was in a flare up when I got pregnant, didn't know I had colitis until I was diagnosed at 9 weeks. I had a healthy pregnancy and delivered a beautiful, healthy 7 lb 2 oz girl. She is a year old now.
Postpartum was another story and I don't want to scare you because everyone is different. I had a severe flare up after my daughter was born. My colon almost perforated and I was hospitalized for 9 days. I had to have a blood transfusion, was put on TPN and I ended up losing almost 50 lbs in the 4 weeks after I had my daughter. It took months to recover from that and I'm still not in remission.
Just take good care of yourself, eat well, exercise (easier said than done for me haha) and get plenty of rest. And if you feel a flare up coming on after you have your baby don't wait to get treatment. I went to the hospital a couple days after I started having symptoms and they brushed me off and sent me home with a prescription for antibiotics. I waited another 2 weeks before I went back and at that point I was so weak I couldn't walk.
Good luck!

As far as the pregnancies went, I had completely normal ones. Babies were 8.1 lbs and 8.8 lbs. I got anemic at the end, but rectified that with iron pills. I flared afterwards, but got this last one under control with pred. Try to get as much rest as possible after baby is born. And eat well.
