Rare Prednisone Side Effects??

Can anyone tell me of rare Prednisone side effects that they have encountered?

Today I had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance because I was sitting at a traffic light and nearly lost consciousness and my face went numb and heart rate went through the roof and I couldn't hear the people who were in the car with me for a few seconds.... I somehow got myself home and called 911. Got to the hospital, they ran blood tests. Blood tests were fine. Did chest xray, that came out fine. Did EKG, that was fine. Did all the little stroke tests that they do, that was fine...so really no real reason for this that they could see.
Nothing brought it on, had a slight head ache but that was it. It only lasted about 30 seconds, maybe a little more....

I am coming off of a flare and was put on Prednisone in May (starting with 40mg) and I have tapered down to 5mg (just tapered down to 5mg yesterday). I didn't have any side effects with the last time I took Prednisone except for racing heart and weight gain (BLAH!).
I did forget to take it this AM but had planned on taking it when I got home.

Anyone have this happen to them while on this God awful drug!?!?

I'm beginning to think this WAS anxiety as I had an episode today where a florescent light was flickering when I looked at it from a certain angle and then when I looked at it head on it didn't flicker. I started to panic...same heart racing, almost passing out, face tingling panic. I was able to take deep breaths and think positively and it went away.
I have never had this kind of anxiety. I am thinking that the high dose of prednisone I was recently on has messed with me chemically and caused me to panic really bad. Anyone think this could be possible!?? Good Lord I hate this drug....yesterday was my last day on it so hopefully I will be back to normal soon!
