Prednisolone affects Thyroid?

Hi
Does anyone know if prednisolone affects thyroid functioning?
I am currently at 5mg and experiencing extreme fatigue, loss of appetite and my skin is becoming very dry. This happens every time im tapering down pred. I thought maybe it could be that my thyroid gland is underactive. Im thinking of starting thyroid supplements.
What do you think?

This could be just tapering symptoms of prednisone. However, you can ask for a CBC to rule out thyroid issues. I would not start any thyroid supplements without knowing for sure your symptoms are thyroid related.

I agree, definitely get it checked out...and while it could be the prednisone tapering, it could be that it's triggered something regarding thyroid.

Thank for the responses!
I had my thyroid level checked a few months ago, but at that time i was taking 15-20mg of pred and also didnt have these problems.They told me they could only check it 6 months after the last one.
