Good Morning all! Trying to choke down my coffee w/ no half and half this am. Anyone else prepping? I've got the jello and chicken broth ready to go! I start the suprep at 6:00.

Little nervous about tomorrow. After my last scope I spent a week in the hospital.

Good luck with the prep and scope! I don't go in for my next scope until April so I can still breath easy for several months yet lol

Nice! I had 2 flex sigs in the last year. It has been 3 years since my last colonoscopy. Man those 3 years flew by! Lol!

I have  flex scope at end of month, they say do to fleet enemas, I heard those are so bad for the liver or kidneys or something. Can you just do warm water and half the saline I wonder?

I did the fleet enemas for my flex. It was two enemas the morning of the procedure. They were no fun but definitely better than drinking the prep!

have fun girl. i am so starving and dehydrated right now. i leave for my colonoscopy in 45 minutes. i wish i could've scheduled it for earlier in the morning so i wouldn't be waiting around! i just keep watching food shows!

Oh no! My little one wanted McDonalds for lunch. Man did those fries smelled good!

I have to be at the office at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Really hoping I'm first!

pink, yeah 7:30 is a perfect time!!

i'm pretty nervous. at my last colonoscopy, they took 40 biopsies and i was bleeding heavily for about 1.5 months after. before that, bleeding was not a symptom for me. i'm just gonna say to this new GI- only take biopsies if ABSOLUTLEY necessary.

somedude, that's what i'm sure i'll here, too. i'm planning on asking my GI about surgeons he recommends.

Lol, I already met my surgeon many months ago. He said when I'm fed up to come see him...He'll make it right..snip snip...lol

Good luck everyone--did mine about a month ago. The prep does suck, but soon it will all be over! Let us know how it goes.

Got the first bottle down in about 40 minutes. Then proceeded to throw it all up. Lovely. Still haven't pooped. Guess will call if doesn't start soon. I'm worried I threw all of it up.

somedude, i didn't do any hellish prep either. just did liquids monday and tuesday. i always tell my doc i did the prep and they've never been able to not do a full colonoscopy.

Huh, I'm surprised that you have a problem with the Su-Prep. I thought it was great compared to drinking the reg. stuff.

I refrigerated mine and poured it in a regular drinking glass and finished filling with water. Or Gatorade. Then 2 glasses of Gatorade to follow-up.

I started going I think 2 hours after drinking, then about once every hour for 4-5 hours.

I called and they said it was ok to suck on an ice-cube those last few hours b4 going in. I was sooo thirsty.

that's about right. I think the prep applies mostly to normal people that go for a colono....where they don't poop 10 times a day. Then I guess, you really have to do it.

In our cases, we poop pretty often, so it's cleaner.

7:30 colonoscopy time is great! I was home by 9:15. Still having a lot of pain and cramping. Think half the problem is my reflux flaring up from the fasting.

Moderate/severe inflammation to 19 cm. Otherwise colon looked great. "One diminuative (sp??) polyp" that was removed. Back on the pred for a month. I'm on the lowest dose of remicade so meeting my GI's PA (who I love) next week to discuss upping the remicade or shortening the time. Adding canasa at night. He gave me court suppositories for am too. I have the foam. I may use that instead.

Hate to be back on pred :(

I was so worried I wasn't cleaned out b/c I threw up so much. He said I was clean and he was able to see. Thank goodness! Back to bed w/ my doggies :) My little one is at my parents being spoiled rotten. Lol.

I'll b prepping on Monday. Lucky me I'm allergic to the preps! I think the Preps are too harsh for us anyway.

My dad went into the hospital for rectal bleeding and was prepped for a colonoscopy. The night before the scope he bleed to death! Hence..I no longer have a daddy! He didn't have IBD but it could have been colon caner or something. I'll never know. There was no biopsy done! cry

Anyhow my prep is more gentler:

4 Ducolax tabs
Mirlax 17 gr mixed with 64 oz Gatorade or coconut water
and Magnesium citrate as a back up.

We need something gentle with our issues :)
