Off Imuran..again. Indefinitely

Yeah, it's happened again. My WBC is lower than 4. So he wants me off of it again. I had the test around the time mom got that stomach bug, so I'm not sure if that tweaked my results.

I'm getting a stool test done, inflammation marker blood test and potentially a flex-sig to see if I'm flaring, or had the same bug.

If I am flaring he wants me on Remicade or Humira. I'd rather cut the blasted organ out than go on that. So I'll be getting LDN to see if it'll work at all soon. Not sure if 5ASA's will be included, if I'm not sensitive to them.

Hi Sibby! I'm on Humira. I'm feeling a lot better on it. I wasn't crazy about going on it. Better then feeling like crap. Hope LDN works for you.

I dont remember your whole back story, but why not just lower the Imuran instead of stopping it totally?

I'm on 50mg, down from 100mg awhile back. He did lower it, but my wbc is still dropping. So either it was the bug at the time of testing, or the medication isn't working any longer.

Or the drug is working too well....Imuran can cause your WBC to drop....but as you mentioned, so can a virus or some other thing...I guess you can re-visit after the scope based on if you really have inflammation or not!
