I switched to a different GI a while ago. Now I check the mail and I have a bill from my old GI in the box. He's charging me although he promised not to do so. Plus he's charging me a late fee although this is the first bill I ever received from him. I'm pissed....

do you mean for a final appt you missed/canceled? .... most bills get sent out by accounting without ever the doctor knowing anything about them.

if you had a verbal arrangement, you should be able to get accounting to retract the bill.

These were appointments I went to. After I had the argument with him I called his office to cancel every future appointment (had a coloscopy scheduled) it was long before 48 h though

What do you mean I can retract it?

So today I called the billing department. I explained that what I agreed with the GI and the lady on the phone said she'll be taking care of it and I don't need to pay it. She said that he might have forgotten to note it. Yay!
