chrissy, i will definitely check out that website. i love looking at meal plans and recipes but i haven't learned to cook meat for myself yet. i just never needed to. yeah, i am definitely very concerned with buying meats without hormones since i've read so much about it. if that means eating smaller amounts, then i'm okay with that, too. are there certain meats you eat most of? i'm trying to stick to fish 3x a week and then chicken on the others. i know if my mom starts buying organic meats for the whole family that it will definitely get pricey. nobody else cares what they eat at all- my house is like the pizza and subway house but nobody else is sick... go figure haha
yeah, SCD would be very hard for you if you can't have eggs or almonds. i don't usually eat almonds but i'd try them again in almond flour so bread things like chicken or something.
with the lialda, it definitely caused me to get pancolitis. before i started it, i had mild UC with bleeding as my only symptom. after i was on it for a month, i had full blown pancolitis with heavy bleeding, urgency, diarrhea, acid reflux, hives, and scabs ALL over my face and body. my GI claimed that the skin rashes were from my laundry detergent (which i had been using for years) but i thought that was bull. i would itch myself until i was bleeding and then need to put ice all over myself. i honestly think i'd never have been in this situation if i hadn't started lialda.
