So afraid of a bad reaction. So far I've had bad things happen on every mesalamine, 6mp, compazine etc...

Im on it and not happy. In fact, I wouldn't be happy on any medication.
I take max dose 10mg/kg every 6-8 weeks. It gives me light to moderate joint pains every time. It's annoying. It doesn't even work that well for me. It might be doing something, can't really be sure what does what.

I have my third treatment 9/17. I just tapered of pred so its tough to tell whether Remicade has worked or not. I do know I feel wiped out and have a headache all the time. Deep down I think I am rooting for bad blood test results (not too bad) or that the Remicade does not work so my decision about
surgery becomes a no-brainer.

I was on it and I was happy with it. That was in Germany. I couldn't pay for it anymore in the US so I had to stop.

I have been on Remicade for about
3-4 years now. When I started I was on asacol and prednisone. Remicade treatments were every 8 weeks. I was also put on 6mp. My bleeding would start back up after about
six weeks since the last treatment. So we changed to treatment every six weeks. After things got better I was taken off everything but Remicade. I haven't really had any kind of reaction until recently. Now for a short time during the infusion I get a tightness in my chest and it is difficult to take a deep breath. This may last for about
5 mins and then go away. I haven't had any other symptoms

I was on it for five years and had two clear colonoscopies, and for the last two years have been on maintenance meds and doing well.

I've been on it for a year. It has been a godsend for me! After years of mildly to moderately flaring and having no meds work for me, Remicade has given me my life back.
I have to pre-medicate in order to stem any reactions and so far it seems to work. When I started, I didn't pre-medicate and my hands swelled horribly. Now they give me IV Solumedrol and Benedryl a half an hour before the infusion. I get mild leg cramps, mild stomach pain and headaches the day of the infusion but the next day I'm right as rain again.
I do notice that around the 7 week mark, my symptoms start to come back tho (I go every 8 weeks).

I've been on Remicade for over 4 years, and I'd say I'm happy with it. Sure, I have to be premedicated to prevent reactions and have had staph infections a couple times, but I still have my colon.

I have been on it for almost two years. I'm not happy being on this medication because I don't like the idea of supressing my immune system... However I did'nt really get any bad reaction from it. Recently I was diagnosed with chronic sinus infection, wich is not life treathning, but very annoying (headache, lightheadness, post nasal drip, fatigue), and the doctor said it's likely caused by the remicade. I'm am very thankful for that drug because I was in such bad shape when I started that it really did savec my colon, but I would like to find another solution in the long term.

Been on it over 6 months and happy with the results so far. Don't be scared, just look on the bright side and hope for the best.
Good luck.
