Remicade pre-meds: gravol, benadryl, solucortef....

Hey Remicade users,

I've been having bad reactions to Remicade the last 2 times I've received it, so my doctor has ordered a few pre-meds this time: Tylenol, IV gravol, IV benadryl and IV solu cortef.

Has anyone taken this combo before? Did it help? How did it make you feel during and after the infusion?

I'm always on Tylonel now for daily pains and I don't take Gravol as a pre med, but I do have the Benedryl and Solumedrol with my pre med before each infusion. I do fine. The Benedryl makes me a bit sleepy while the Solumedrol jazzes me up! lol So I don't know if I should be tired or running around the block. :)

     I believe I was given the Tylenol and Benadryl....  I haven't a clue what those other meds are.  At my second infusion the nurse gave me too much Benadryl and I felt AWFUL...like I was gonna die actually.  I think the dose was something like 50 mgm...waaaay too much for me.  She cut the dose in half at my next infusion and all went well.  However, I built up antibodies relatively fast to the Remicade.  I also tried Humira, but that, too failed.  Had surgery in 2010.
