VSL#3 DS no longer carried by CVS??

Has anyone else had trouble getting VSL#3 DS from CVS recently? I tried to refill my prescription tonight and was told that the manufacturer isn't selling DS to them anymore and the only way to get more DS would be to try another pharmacy (like Walgreens, not a different CVS).

This is crazy! Has anyone else experienced this??? They did say they could still get regular strength, but my insurance doesn't cover regular strength

This doesn't surprise me! They probably don't make any money off of the DS, so they don't want to be bothered with it. Just transfer your prescription to another pharamcy

There is so much misinformation out there that nobody knows the truth.
I was told that VSL#3 DS is not by prescription anymore and will not be covered by the insurance. This is Oxford in NY. I got my VSL#s DS from Costco, without prescription. I am not refilling again though.

I had this issue too. I tranferred to Walgreens, no problem. But my script is for 1 packet a day and DS is sold in 20 packet boxes. They will not split a box, so I am always short 10 packets a month!

I did purchase VSL#3 ds last week at CVS with Caremark. I paid $40
for 60 packets (3 boxes with 20 packets per box). I take 2 packets a
day. Maybe the Caremark Prescription Coverage makes a difference??
Or maybe I was just lucky - this was the first time I had purchased it.
I'll update everyone next month when I buy it. I have multiple refills.
What an interesting and sad issue...VSL#3 ds is so expensive!
