False Positive HIV Test. Common for us?

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a false positive HIV test?

I assumed it has something do with my UC/Psoriasis/Autoimmune issues (certain antibodies?), though the doc offered no explanation. The follow up (Western Blot, I'm assuming) came back negative. Fortunately she called me before the results were released online so that I would not freak out!

I read online that autoimmune disease can increase chance of false positive, but so can flu-shots. I saw a list of many factors that had been associated (not necessarily causal) of false positives, but it did not contain information on the odds increase for each. Some may be very unlikely and others more likely.
