Best way to insert enema?

I feel that laying on the left side is not helping much. I actually feel the mesalazine enema going through my rectum and sigmoid but it doesn't go further than that. I once had an enema which pushed it really far up to the descending colon. Is there anything like this out there for the US? Right now I'm taking Rowasa and Colocort.

Edit: The enema I had was in a can and it was under pressure. I had to press the button and slowly release it.

The Colocort again for 3 weeks. Mesalazine 2 days. I take both per day, one in the morning, one in the evening.

I'm scared of oral pred because I get super aggressive

Funny - never heard of that but sounds DANGEROUS.

I just roll the tube up to expel the contents with one or both hands once or twice a week to give the lower section a boost on top of the meds.

It can only be the foam not available in the us but here in the uk. This thing is like a bomb!
Insert the plastic tube attached to the can.. push the button.... 2 FULL seconds of pure silence then BAM!

It feels like a whole formed stool that just went out of your bum came back to its origin. Feels... very... strange.

Andrina - have you seen any improvement at all in the 3 wks you've been on Colocort?

No Matter of fact, it got worse. I started when I saw pink blood, now it's dark red and clumps of blood come out too.

That's the one. It's easy to handle once you're used to them.

in truth, you want the enemas to stay in the rectum/sigmoid. The oral 5ASA deals with above that.

Yes I take Apriso orally but it doesn't do anything.
