I have resumed a more normal, less extreme probiotic disage regimen now- albeit with the same variety of types as before, and including 4 morning and 4 evening VSL3 capsules and 2 daily Mutaflor capsules as the base.
Re. Kefir, yogurt, etc- I agree the more the merrier, ifone can tolerate the delivery mechanism. I used to eat a lot if yogurt- have stopped dairy for around a hear now but I think I will start making SCD yogurt again and trying a cup a day as another economical dekivery means. More than that is likely to give me loose stool- maybe a casein sensitivity issue.
@Bananagirl- do you still do the terramin clay? Any benefit? I have a tub of it sitting in the counter but have been afraid to try it- guess it will be one of my next cautious experiments.
Things that improved stool quality out of flare were surprisingly inneffective in a flare. I had to stop eating anti-inflammatory foods and psyllium husk. Tons of probiotics did not help much until I could consume the husk, together they were great.
Terramin clay, Humic acid, etc - none of those things helped I was quite suprised.
