Hot Knees

Every once in a while, I get hot knees! My leg and thigh feel cool but you touch my knees and they are hot. My left knee is hotter than my right knee, likely because I broke it two years ago in three places (oh such fun) ... I have heard of UC arthritis and such but hot knees? They don't feel stiff, creaky or achy, although I will say if I don't stay active, my left knee will stiffen up.

I have read in places where if you have an inflammatory disease, no matter what it is, you are susceptible to other things like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc. I know people with fibro, lupus and a few other diseases say this happens to them.

I have a check up with the GI tomorrow so I am going to ask him but thought I would ask you guys if you have heard of this before.
