It was like 3 bills for the ticket, then you have to pay the DMV just to *take* traffic school, then you have to pay for the traffic school... it never ends.

Yeah, it was my gift to myself for all the hard work I did on mom's estate (realistically I deserved more than that Audi for what those maniac family members behaved like)

It's a 2005 quattro S-Line 3.2L, it has the dual transmission (manula or automatic) (dark blue) and it's super fast...gets me to the can quick lol...I still have the potty-van cuz you know with IBD things can go bad mentally as well as physically and now that we moved closer to the city (still live out of the city) it's like 10 minutes (5 in the Audi LOL) to get to the closest bathroom so it's good for me mentally in order to pull myself away from the security of the van all the time.

MaxMilian, be careful with the tranny you go with, the one I have (DSG) can be buggers!

Hmm Audi TT 3.2

I have an Acura CL 3.0.

I think our cars burn too much fuel these days. In 2 years I will have to change my car. I want to get something economical. It doesn't make sense driving V6 in town. We don't need that.

The Audi gets excellent gas mileage though...and it's super fun, besides since I'm at home, I don't drive everyday therefore it's not a big deal...and since it has the secondary airpump in it that is to California standards I think it falls under being "green" enough environmentally...although living in Canada, we don't have the standard that Cali has.

WHAT?!?! excellent gas milage?!

These are some weak numbers. My car is not far off. It does 11.5 litres urban and around the same on highway...7.5.

The new TT does better with the turbo 2.0 4 cyl. They dropped the 3.2 engine.

Oh well, it's a sweet car. Unfortunately, UC expenses + high gas prices is not good, at least for me anyways.

Well it's not like it's the worst ever...650 km for $45.00 isn't bad, but hey there's always gonna be room for improvements on pretty much anything...maybe you need to look into an electric car of some sort.

How much is regular octane where you live it's 1,30$ per litre around here. Are you telling me that when you tank from empty to full you do 650 km per tank and it only cost you 45$ to fill it up ?

I have a bmw z4 as a toy, a straight-6 cylinder engine, I get a consistent 24mpg in it with mixed, spirited driving. My wife and I each have a Prius for our daily commuter vehicles (we get 50-55mpg regularly in them; and 61mpg when it is exclusively highway) its $32.00 for 9 gallons of gas here and that gets you 475 miles or so.

I use premium and depending on what the gas prices are depends on how much it costs to fill the tank (should have read 75.00 based on the last time it was filled not 45) I think that was at around $1.30/L CDN for premium, but now (as in today) it's probably priced at $1.25 since regular is at 1.13/L right now...ballpark figures.

Keep in mind, for as much as I don't drive, 75.00 premium gets me a long ways and yeah 650 km for that price isn't bad based on today's outrageous fuel prices (which by the way pisses me off considering here in Alberta our gas should be dirt cheap for us...afterall we do pull it out of our ground here...I hate politicians lol).

Hey, found a gas receipt from june 29/2012....I filled up at 1.289/L and got 58.187 L which got me 650 km and paid 75.00.

How long it lasts you a full tank...estimate...

Me, around 60$ lasts me a week...a week and a day maybe.

Per month now, I average 240$ in gas. ouch...

Why would you both pat the ticket and go to traffic school? Why describe the cop as an a-hole? Me thinks you drive in an unsafe manner and refuse personal responsibility.

I am sorry that you got a ticket. That's the worst :( I HATE tickets. I got a ticket because of UC once too. I was flying home and a cop pulled me over for speeding. I wouldn't have been speeding if I wasn't in such desperate need to get to the toilet. Luckily I made it. I am sorry about the accident too, that's awful!

I actually keep getting tickets on my way to the med center for UC doctor appointments. It's been almost two years since my diagnosis and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Having it is so upsetting to me I get upset at my doctor appointments. I just received a letter in the mail saying that if I get another ticket within the same 36 month period I will have to pay a yearly fine to keep my license. I had a friend drive me to the last appointment. UC boggles my mind.

Gosh, a long time, maybe a month, sometimes a little less than a month...I really don't drive much during the week, mostly just here and there on the weekends...places I go are fairly close proximity from where we live...shopping, family, etc...guess that helps make my car in particular more fuel efficient eh lol!
