Daily Aspirin and CVD+UC

I was just wondering if anyone here who is any cardiovascular issues? Just came across a news that says, daily aspirin can reduce chances of colo-rectal cancer. It is also connected some genes/mutations, so everyone may not be benefit for it.

I am curious what if a patient has CVD and eligible for daily aspirin BUT also has UC. How the doctors would go about? Anyone here, if fits in this scenario, can shed some light?

I think that you should talk to your GP about the risk factors for cardiovascular disease. It is my understanding that people with IBD generally have lower risk of cardiovascular disease....because of lowered clotting factors due to our meds? Not sure. I would not take a daily aspirin unless I had clear and urgent concerns about developing arterial sclerosis.

I certainly will but I was just curious, if, hypothetically such thing happens i.e. CVD+UC, does it make sense to take daily aspirin. Because in theory, it may help you for CVD but you are pretty much messing up with your UC remission, if any. I just wanted to see if there is anyone that is really present in this hypothetical scene.
