Where do blood clots come from in the stool?

I pooped my pants .....again today.....(noticed that monday and today I've had a spoon full of sunflower seed butter, IDK if it's related) but I saw a blood clots in my underwear. Where do they come from?? I'm going to try Humira I decided, life like this is crazy! I threw away and $110 pair of boots, my pants, underwear and down fill coat I was sitting on because it was soaked of fluid and my scarf that I used to get the mucus off the floor! OMG see why I'm going to try a new medication. Mucus, stool and blood was all over my boots because I had to walk a bit to the bathroom, sucks!!!!!!!!

Aw, man, that's a major problem. Where were you?

I feel your pain, I exploded yesterday BUT I was at home and could save my clothes. Wrong bathroom though and I somehow had to shower and get to the laundry room with minimal explanation to the people in the house. just told them I've got a problem here just bear with me.

Anyways, therearemiracles, I don't blame you for wanting to try the Humira, and maybe it will be a miracle for you.

Maybe those disposable brief underwear would work to catch a UC blow out, or are those just for urinary incontinence.

ok where in the world do you find disposable under small enough for a small person? The dont squeez enought around the legs :( bummer

The clots, if you ask me, are from internal bleeding, that sits a while, has time to clot, then is expelled.

I have clots a lot of the time and I just thought it was typical. Ulcers on the colon are internal bleeding I feel the most anxiety when I get the really bright red thick sort of foamy bleeding.

I think the clots are just typical UC stuff. It must be blood from the ulcers that mixes with mucous or something cute like that. I hope Humira gives you many years of relief!!

Clots are typical UC. I generally used them to judge severity. Big huge clots = UC not doing so well...

Sorry about the loss of your clothing, jacket, and boots. That sucks!

Oh I weep at the thought of you ruining a pair of expensive boots! (I have a boot fetish lol)

Hopefully the Humira will be your miracle med.

As for the clots, if their bright red you need to tell your doc. But if they're a darker red/maroon'ish, that's old blood that has congealed near an "ulceration" and is pushed out with the waste.
