Maybe the millionth Hairloss Post?

OK-I haven't posted here in well over a year. I had my colon removed over a year ago (Look at my posts-I went thru HELL) and although it was rough I've been in a great place for a long while.
One thing that always plagued me and made me so emotional was the Hairloss I experienced-even prior to being diagnosed with UC. I almost got a wig.

Anywho...I'm here to assure that it does stop!! Drugs, stress, malnourishment and surgeries all contributed to mine. But early this year I all of a sudden noticed I was losing such little hair and this has been the trend all year. My hair is about just full as when I started to notice the loss. I was literally on a 5 year cycle of loss. And then it stopped! Not doing anything special aside from feeling and eating better.

Anyway, UC is the worst! And when you don't look well just adds to it.
Wishing that we all can find our own way to feeling better.

Glad you have gotten your hair back. I only really lose mine when taking pred.

I've been tracking the cause of hair loss on various sites. There is a lot of correlation between Lialda and hair loss. I've tired almost everything except exchanging Lialda for another drug. I now have a lot of scalp showing and using spray on "paint" to help hide this humilation. Has anyones hair come back after stoppinng lialda?

I'm happy to hear it's going uphill for you. My hair is very important to me so I would hate losing it.
