Today is my  prep day for my scope tomorrow. I am taking Magneisum Citrate. I start drinking this stuff in an hour and already dreading it.

The prep is the only part that really stinks basically just sitting on the throne and reading for a few hours as straying too far means almost certain disaster... Hopefully, they don't have you on, what feels like to me, horse-laxatives (like with my colonoscopy). The prep for a flexible endoscopy isn't bad at all just the saline enemas which are a cake walk especially compared to the former.

I'm not familiar with not familiar with Magneisum Citrate but a google search says it comes in grape flavor yum!

I had to take Magnesium Citrate. I took Citro-Mag and it was FAR from yum. It was the most horrific, vile substance to ever go down my throat. Drinking it was the worst part, worst than the bathroom part. There is one moment when the evacuation begins where I feel sick as a dog, but that passes soon enough. No, trying to gag down that swill and keep it down is the worst part by far.

Drank it down pretty fast. Wasn't nice but I had worse preps. Still waiting for it to kick in. It has been 3 hours and nothing. Does anyone know how long this takes for things to get moving?

Well I guess everyone is different but it didn't take 3 hours for me. How much did you have to drink? I always have to drink 2 bottles (well one time I had to do 2.5 because the scope was last minute and I didn't have time to stop taking iron etc before the prep).

Never used it. Hope things get moving soon so that you're not up all night going.

Keep us posted as to how the c-scope goes. Do you stay awake for it?

Prep kicked in. I don't think i will be awake all night. No, I don't stay awake, but there were occasions where i woke up during it. Will keep you posted
