Getting scoped again

are you getting a colonoscopy or a sigmoidoscopy? honestly, i'd rather just do the whole thing once i'm put under.

Is the idea to look and see if the affected area is any different? Or is to look and see if there are other problems besides UC? What did the GI say when yall discussed the utility of another scoping?

yes, but that is very generic. you are paying for this, you have to go through this, and you have to weigh any advice or treatment changes recommended afterwards. you have to live with the results.

IMO, you need to understand more about what specific understandings he wants to see, and what kind of things he would recommend if he saw this or that.

For example if less area was inflamed, maybe be patient. Or, If more area was inflamed possibly immune suppressants. or, If less area was inflamed, but more severely, them maybe mix hydrocort and 5-asa enemas.

Or, if less area inflamed and milder inflammation, but some polyps or hemorrhoids, or diverticulitis - then new treatments for those things, including possible surgery.

It is to your advantage to be more aware and more informed. This way you can ask the best questions and attend to the most appropriate research.

so when was your last one ?

no change in meds ?

sorry chrissy, i meant, your doc had no suggestions for chaging your meds in lieu of another hooter-scope ?

so what exactly is he looking for ?
