anonymous says 99.9 % of poop stinks

er...wait .... no, it was 99.?% of uc diognosees were made after a positive c-diff test or something like that - i don't recall being tested but that was 10 years ago and i might have gotten old and forgotten -

so i'm just wondering, did i miss something or did my doc ?

all my GI doctors (i've seen so many i can't count) have checked for C-diff. they might not even tell you they are doing it but i've seen results on my colonoscopy reports. if i had to estimate, i've been tested like 12x since diagnosis back in 2007. they usually check multiple times.

i'd say your GI dropped the ball on this one.

After 20 years of UC, I've noticed that my poo has a distinct smell when I have a flare. I used to have this old old cat when I was a kid, and her poo always smelled...old and weird. When I have a flare, it smells like that old cat's poo. It makes me giggle every time I smell it in the bathroom because it makes me think about my old cat and her dried out smelly old turds. Sorry, that was off topic, but I don't think I've ever shared that info with anyone before. For a brief second, when a flare starts up, I get a good chuckle because of that sweet old girl.

A luxury brand name has come to me to make me a deal. They will synthesize my poop smell and sell at as very expensive cologne.

But in reality mine always has different smells it changes with what i eat i guess.
