Help!!!

I haven't been diagnosed yet but I'm pretty sure it's UC. I have an appt with my GP tomorrow which doesn't help since he's prob just gonna refer me to a GI so then it's more waiting for additional appts.. I'm in so much pain. From just below my ribs to my rectum and my back from the middle down, mostly along spine and left side. I can't sit normally, either have to stretch out straight or curl up but can't maintain position too long. I've been having tons of bleeding with diarrhea and mucous and clots for almost 5 months and its getting worse. In the bathroom 15+ times a day with extreme, gut wrenching pain. Should I just go to the hospital or just wait for the drs appt?

I'd probably hold out and see your GP tomorrow. (S)he might be able to get you into a GI and or schedule a c-scope with a GI within a few days. If it's going to be more than that, and you really just want to get a diagnosis, you could head to the ER.

If you start getting dizzy and lightheaded then you have probably lost too much blood and should go to the ER right away. Otherwise I would probably wait until tomorrow. You may not necessarily have UC. You may have C-Diff, which is nasty but treatable.
