Sorry guys I am sure this has probably been covered before but I haven't quite gotten the hang of searching the history yet. I just started humira. I have tried small quantities of alcohol and the two times I tried I feel nauseous with first sip and seem to feel more easily intoxicated. Normally I don't drink very often but I could drink quite a bit without be intoxicated. Now I have had less than a six glass of white wine and I am giggling like a school girl. Can anyone tell me their experience on alcohol and humira. I've read on some other site about people having some pretty bad reactions. Thanks

To do a search, click on "Search" in the upper blue bar on the right side, type in what you're looking for.

I'm not on Humira but Remicade. They are pretty similar but I've never had an issue with lowered resistance to alcohol. You need to listen to your body, it's trying to tell you something. How long have you been on Humira?

I get a nasty headache. Even with one drink!!!!

Hi would not recommend any alcohol while on any TNF blocker drugs like Remicade, Humira ect.

I had no issues w/ humira and alcohol (I drink a couple of glasses per wine a week). However if it made you feel bad I would definitely not drink. Your body obviously does not like that combo!

My body never liked alcohol. I just want to know what Humira has to do with it. Why would someone not recommend it?

Never read anything about not drinking with Humira. I think I would get a headache even without the drug. I stopped during because of UC . Stomach issues. Tequila is one of the few alcohol beverages that I don't get a headache from.
