I promise to keep all the stressful, crazy people I know at a distance so their drama doesn't pull me down! Too bad 98% of them are family. Te good news is they live on the other side of the country!
This, exactly. Well, except for the fact that we all live in the same neighborhood and work at the same small business.
Two of the three (my dad most of all) are knee jerk reactionaries, bombastic, loud, constantly apoplectic, jumping to conclusions, etc.
I've managed the last four years to become very zen-like (I guess that's the term) and can basically retreat into an 'inner castle' when they're freaking about
something be it work or personal. Sometimes it's almost comical something happens that affect us both equally and they're like drunken monkeys and I'm thinking OK let's think about
this, chill out guys.
Sometimes I think they think I'm lazy or not busy at work, so I'll purposely close my eyes, rub my hand hard over my face and hair and sigh heavily once or twice just so we'll be on the same level emotionally, haha. Even doing that for pretend can kind of stress you out.
But I promise all the things y'all have said with not stressing out easily being number one.
