Has anyone had any complications with sushi before? Would it be wide to avoid it? Or is it ok to eat?

Everyone is so different. I don't remember anyone in particular that talked about
having a problem with it but I think there is only one way to find out. Good luck.

i used to eat sushi, but since starting the paleo diet, i haven't touched it. i never had any problems with it. i haven't tried sashami though since i won't take the risk with raw fish.

cooked sushi is fine. I don't dare try raw. Pre-UC sashimi gave me D.

I eat a lot of sashimi without any difficulties. Ate it throughout pregnancy. Just make sure you eat it from a decent place.

No problem with sushi. Why doesn't paleo include raw fish? Did cavemen cook all their fish? LOL

LOVE sushi. Never had a problem, but I will tell you when I was first diagnosed, I didn't want to eat it anymore. I remember that specifically.
I wonder how well all of us can tolerate or digest the raw fish in some types of sushi? I had salmon in a roll a month ago, was good. I prayed over it, lol no problems.

My biggest question is people say "no problems" but yet most are on a ton of drugs for UC. So how do you know it's not affecting you?
For me, I LOVE sushi, but it seems like I get proctitis symptoms after I eat it a lot, not being on any drugs.
As for the whole "no raw fish"... entire cultures eat raw fish by the ton... to the point where it's become fast food.

Knowing what I know about
pathogens I would never eat raw sushi ever ever again. ESP. If immunocompromised.
Entire cultures have a much different gut biome then a society where antibiotics are handed out like pez.

I used to consume sushi and sashimi without any issues. Staying away from it during my flare up right now.
