"I went back on Prednisone until I started to run out. My GI doctor said he would not give me anymore Prednisone, so I ended up getting a prescription for Bupropion and also a low dose of Doxepin (Silenor) from a psychiatrist and also refilled a prescription for Apriso.

The first full day after I started taking the anti-depressants while rapidly tapering down the Prednisone from 30 mg I had an almost spontaneous remission.

I still don't get how to bold or colour or link anything etc. So i separated it. The middle paragraph being of extreme interest.

The whole Seratonin/Dopamine thing....

Seems to me mixing these may have resulted in an accidental balance or something... I know nothing about the meds so I'd have to look them up - but thought you should read this.

Well since he was taking a UC drug,don't know.

Anyhow my wild guess is that the mixture was increasing neurotransmitters in general.

Old Mike should we consider taking this antidepressant I wonder? Would it help raise the seratonine levels and maybe help our UC? I think a happy brain is a happy gut and vise versa.  I thought about it since I do get "down" from this disese but I don't want to mess with my brain. I read people it at night because it makes you tired.

I really dont know,perhaps somewhat dangerous messing with real drugs if not needed.

yeah true. My stools test from my MD all came back negative, so this Diarreah is just part of my UC? I never had it like this before...weird.

I just went to my gi and if the Humira doesn't work, I have talked him into trying Wellbutrin. It is a TNF-downregulator, so since the loading does of the Humira made me feel better, he thinks the dose is too low, and since I can't afford to go on Humira every week, we will supplement with Wellbutrin. I can't do it for another month (until I have the total effect of Humira). But I am totally excited about it. I asked him if anyone has ever asked for it before, and he said no, but he was willing to try different things at this point. I will let you all know what happens if I actually get to try it.
