organic lettuce do you still wash even though it says prewashed?

just wondering if you wash the prewashed sealed organic lettuce? I have but would like to get away from it, if I trusted it didn't need to be washed again.

I wash all produce before I eat it, whether it says it was pre-washed or not and whether it's organic or not. I'm more worried about bacterial contaminants (such as listeria) that don't "discriminate" between organic vs. conventional than I am pesticide residues. Also, listeria can and does grow in the processing plants where the stuff is washed.

I wash everything in a bowl of water with a couple of teaspoons of vinegar and then put it through the salad spinner and then in the fridge.

And I don't wash anything pre-washed.

I wash everything and soak it in a little water and peroxide the drain and spin it.

I wash everything prior to use. Better safe than sorry, especially with UC, right?

Some things we can't wash out, unfortunately...

I most times do the multiple prewashed stuff. Always with fruits/veggies/salad stuff. Mixed greens and spinach are difficult to get dry even with spinner/paper towels.

I wash everything before peeling. 

If I'm cooking it, I don't wash the prewashed spinach.

I've never tried vinegar..good one killcolitis. How much do you put in? I use it for laundry..

I never wash pre-washed- I really should but I am way too lazy. In theory one should wash produce in water with a tiny bit of bleach, then wash in water again.

Yes, you should always wash it to be on the safe side.

I used to wash everything. Now there is one brand I have not been washing. I have so much else going on and it's such a pain. I called this company and asked them about it and they advised not washing their product because we could end up contaminating it in our own kitchen. It's called Olivia's organics. I'm still worried about it but I've been adding their greens to smoothies unwashed for a few months now.

Can't tolerate lettuces, especially if served in restaurants, and it might be because they don't get it clean enough for me.

If it says prewashed and its organic i'm likely to eat as is. Everything else I wash, a little soap and water.

I don't wash. I have been making a point to try to be less neurotic. I know there are organic pesticides so you really should wash it but I figure it's probably not going to be the end of me.
