Horsemeat story has been headline news here in the UK for over a month. They just keep finding more and more of it, supermarket ready meals, school food, hospital food, pub food. It's a wonder there are any horses at all left in Europe. In theory, horsemeat (and donkey too, they suspect donkey as well) should be pretty good grassfed meat, not factory farmed. In practice though, seems they have been transported in terrible conditions and no one knows what drugs they were full of, no one knows where they were raised. Surveys showing that some 25% of Brits have changed buying habits due to this (for now at least...).
