My food sensitivity test didnt match with Drs...

So recently I took a food allergy test (IGE, blood). My "biggest allergens were wheat, then sesame, then peanut butter. Several other things showed up as lower or mid level... including milk.

So, last night I took a dab of peanut butter, and a dab of the raw goats milk in the fridge, and put them under bandaids on each wrist.

3 hours later... NOTHING. NO rash, nada.

Ive heard even Drs recommend this method. Could it be evidence of what Ive been reading, that these allergy tests are bunk?

so what happens when you put those things in an empty stomach ?

Allergy testing can falsely lead people to think they are allergic to some foods. Here's an interesting article from a few years back.

A coworker's daughter is allergic to peanuts. She developed a rash around her mouth two different times after eating peanut butter, which led to testing and the diagnosis. Allergy testing indicated she was allergic to almonds, too, but she has always been able to eat almonds with no problems.

No, I do not thing that is an accurate way to test IGG allergy. Did they do a scratch test on you or a blood test?

i dont mean to be obtuse but scratch or patch testing is pretty inaccurate and you wouldnt get a reaction in 3 hours. Maybe with a scratch test.. maybe...if you were highly allergic. I think you have to leave a patch on for 48 if you do the test clinically.
