Does anyone one have insurance that doesn't cover Remicade? I think I might be forced to go on humira. . .

I haven't seen anyone here who was unable to get their insurance to cover Remicade. I've seen people who have had to wait to get approval but it's a pretty common drug for UC so I think it usually gets covered.

You should take humira if you have to decide between the two. Remicade requires a hospital visit, while humira can be done at home.

Humira is also a slightly different antibody, so I think people might develop resistance less often (maybe?). I was one of the people who had to wait a long time for authorization for Remicade. I'm surprised your insurance won't cover it--that's super irritating.

My insurance only covers 80% of Remi. The co-pay pays the rest at the moment. Though they said that's only for a year, don't know if its actually easy to renew.
