This happen to anyone else?

That happens to me all the time when I get out of a flare. I guess it's because your colon wasn't able to clean itself out due to the ulcers/inflammation that when you are better, it does what it has to do. Sometimes when I go poo, it's so much that it comes out of the water and sometimes I feel that I will clog the toilet lol.

I did used to have this happen to me and it took detective work on my part to figure out what was causing it. In my case it was not random, after really thinking about what I ate the day before, usually in the later part of the day, I could pinpoint what the problem food was after further testing.

In one case it was cherries eaten as an evening snack. In another case it was cinnamon. I tested both these foods and yes it was definitely them (not together, separate episodes). And this cropped up after eating cherries for weeks maybe months but I just never connected the dots because it didn't always happen.

When I was flaring it was impossible to tell what food(s) were causing symptoms. Now, having eliminated the worst offenders (gluten, dairy) I can tell what is a problem. And sometimes I take a chance anyway and eat it. I now rarely have those multiple BM meltdowns, maybe due to healing but I also don't eat too many things that set it off.

Not saying your episode is food related, just telling what mine turned out to be.

For me, because my stools are all still pretty loose (even if they're solid, they're very soft), not a lot comes out at once. So sometimes, it can take 10 minutes in the bathroom to get everything out.

This tends to happen to me most often in the mornings if I've had one big meal the night before, instead of smaller meals throughout the day. From what I understand, multiple small meals is better, but because I have such a small appetite, and because meals tend to trigger bowel movements, I prefer to just do the one big meal. That way, after 2-3 crampy morning BMs, I'm done for a few hours.

That's a flare...and the symptoms before that were a flare as well...

coming out of one is still  a flare. just different limitation and degrees of inflammation in a regression. 

Rectal meds...regularly if you're not on them now.

I've noticed there to be some correlation between the consistency of my poop and the volume of it. If I have 'fluffy' poops that are just barely solid but of a normalish sorta partial stool shape then my volume of poop is way up. I'll go multiple times and each time I'll create enough of it that it nearly breaches the water line. Makes you really wonder jeesh how much can I seriously poop out in a day? What happened to the law of conservation of matter (more is coming out then going in lol). Now that my inflammation is down and I'm coming out of this flare, my poops are now more solid the volume is down to a more reasonable level.

Sometimes I'd have the fluffy poops with lots of volume, multiple days in a row. So I can't say it was every X days or whatever like you were describing.

hormones can also play a role with women. prostaglandins will release hormones to increase bms as well....related close to periods, however. The same hormones that cause the uterine spasming cramps...fun.
