I believe in that therapy but I can't manage to get myself to drink it. Although, to get the best benefit of that you have to drink it after urinating in the morning for a few seconds to get the junk out from the day before as well healthy eating (ie no meat, mainly fruits and vegetables). You don't just drink it whenever however, that's just asking for trouble; there are specific steps.

People have been doing this for thousands of years and it's supposed to be incredibly good for you. I wouldn't dismiss what you know little about. Having said that, drinking it is another story I guess.

Sounds disgusting but this is around for ages. I have read books printed in 60s on this topic. I will never get myself around it but my FIL did it. He had gout that will not control using our regular meds. His PCP, very old school guy suggested him.

He did it for about 2 months and his gout is gone.

It is called as Shivambu therapy. Google it if you are interested.

I don't think we can/should do it, primarily because majority of the meds we UCers take are excreted through urine and I don't want to put the metabolite back into the system. I just don't know what will happen if I do it.

Interesting. Yesterday I posted a Science Daily article on Amnionic stem cells healing the gut. This article mentions it in the urine. Is there something to this perhaps? Take a look.

It appears amnionic fluid is very important..One can get this by drinking your own urine? Interesting but would like to know how it would help UC and if it would heal like the stem cells.
