Anabolic steroids and UC

Hi,

I was wondering if you take anabolic steroid say for instance a mild type like Anavar, could it have the same effect as Predisilone without half the side effects?

Also are anabolic steroids safe to take with other meds such as azathaprine or mesalazine?

All people respond to treatments differently. I actually had a filled prescription laying around for an anabolic steroid which helped my first autoimmune disease. Tried it for UC - no luck. But, that doesn't mean it wouldn't work for someone else.

Don't get the logic here :

"could it have the same effect as Predisilone" Why would it they are completely different types of steroids ?

One is a catabolic corticosteroid the other is an anabolic steroid. Every day testosterone and cortisol are in competition to either build or tear down muscle. Prednisone is immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory. It does not say that about testosterone or oxandrin...

garylouisville; thanks alot for your advice, much appreciated.

aguywithuc: the reason i ask whether Anabolic steroid would help with UC is because i feel UC has a link with Adrenal fatigue and stress, if anabolic steroids help increase cortisol this therefore will help with the adrenal fatigue and maybe have positive effects on the UC
