I had been using hydrocortisone enemas for a few months. They were really helping me manage the last bit of rectal inflammation that diet modification and supplements were not reaching.
During this time, I would have periods of time where I was dealing with brain fog, extreme fatigue, and even anxiety. These symptoms would last a few days or weeks and then get better until recently when they were getting progressively worse.
I was also dealing with chronic sinusitis that led to sinus surgery about a month ago. I thought that my sinus issues were causing those other symptoms. When it was several weeks after surgery and I was still dealing with those other debilitating symptoms, I knew something more was going on.
The turning point came recently when I started getting a rash on my knees, elbows, and even under my eye. I finally put the pieces of the puzzle together and figured out that the sum total of all of my various symptoms were most consistent with Candida overgrowth that was probably exacerbated by the use of corticosteroids. After stopping the enemas and starting on anti-Candida supplements and dietary modifications, I have finally started to reverse the symptoms that had plagued me for months now, even the rash.
I've read many posts on here praising hydrocortisone enemas. Has anyone else had problems with them like me?
