Is it the Uceris or the UC?

I have had diarrhea 2-4 times per day for the last 2 weeks. My bum is sore from the d. And my hemmies are killing!

D has never been one of my UC symptoms as my inflammation is primarily at the rectum. My "normal" flare symptoms are blood, mucus and urgency.

I have been on Uceris for almost a month exactly. I started it after failing mtx and doing yet another round of pred. I continue to do cortifoam 3 xs per week in addition to taking 9/day colazal.

Not really sure what I am asking. I guess to get opinions if the uceris is causing the d or I'm just starting to flare yet again....this would be approximately my 1 billionth flare in the last 3 years ;)

Oh and the Uceris has definitely made my anxiety worse. I have an appt. w/ my primary in a couple of weeks to discuss this (I have tried several antidepressants/anxiety meds w/ not much luck).

Hi Pink,

Uceris made me worse after 8 days, it was so bad the worst I've been in 8 years. I was going "d" with blood from morning to night.

If you're getting worse and not better and I would say it the Uceris.

Hard to say for sure but right now it's not looking good for Uceris in your case.

I was switched from Entocort ER to Uceris, and so far so good for me.. but i'm also in 25 mg of prednisone right now (started lowering from 30 mg today)
i actually dont experience bloating that i did from the entocort

Uceris, I think is making me worse too. I started taking it this past Tues and had night sweats, both Tues and Wed and now have 99.6 fever and have been going to bathroom like 5-6 times every night which I wasn't doing before the uceris and I didn't have fever. I stopped it this am. Hate to say, I would rather take Pred even thought it's not good for you long term, I know what to expect and it works. Also, do colonoscopies make you worse? I had one and seemed to have gotten worse.

i tried entocort which is almost the same thing. i got some of the worst pain and diarrhea while i was on it. i only lasted for 3 days because i couldn't take the frequency going up along with the side effects.
