I get in here and complain a lot. Good news this is not a complaint! I switched Gastros and this is a big practice that really has their act together. The dr I saw was the most compassionate dr I have ever had (and was a woman yippee!). She laid out a plan of acttion and she really was genuine about
wanting to help me. As I left I was given a print out with every symptom I had reported that day as well as all the information we discussed at the visit.I got to the pharmacy and my meds were ready and there was no mix ups. I had a colonoscopy and waited for the Biopsy which was supposeto be here by Monday. So its Tuesday and I am not on any meds for UC for several days so I decided to call. I thought it would be a waste of time. Someone returned my call within two hours about
two hours after that the actual dr (not mine but one in the practice) called and had a conversation with me about
my problem. Long story short we are going to try the foam enema for now and he changed my apt with my doctor which was a month away to less than 2 weeks! I have had bad health for ten years and I have never ever had this kind of service so I say hooray hooray for Asheville Gastrointerology! If you live in WNC I highly recommend them they all speak to you with such respect and compassion and they are organized and well staffed. I am so so glad I changed Gastros it was eactly what I needed!
