Usually people are having the opposite problem until the are getting low on dosages. What are your current dosage?
Also, are you getting enough sleep?

Yeah, it's usually during the taper that this happens. Prednisone is an evil drug with many side effects and you kind of get addicted to it in a way because once you start tapering your body demands that you continue at your regular dose so you are kind of dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.

It's the UC, takes a lot out of you
pred tends to cause insomnia, are you perhaps not sleeping enough?

I'm taking 40mg right now and i'm easily exhausted, like others have said it could be the UC but my energy has drastically decreased since starting the prednisone. It's bizarre since i'm also very jittery and shaky.

I was so tired on pred from the insomnia. I rarely slept more than three hours a day on that drug. I was always very shaky and on edge even though i could barely keep my eyes
open.

I'm just the opposite. My body loves prednisone. Granted I only sleep about
5hours a night, but I don't feel fatigue. In fact, I feel clear, happy, and can multitask like mad!
