Anyone have moderately severe colitis in the rectum?

Just had a colonoscopy and everything was normal except moderately severe colitis was found in the rectosigmoid junction and rectum 25 cm from entry. He wants me to take two colocort enemas a day? Anyone have any suggestions for doing this? I usually go the most in the morning so that wouldn't be helpful, I work all day, so take one when I get home, them five hours later do another when I go to bed? Is that too close? I was going to ask him but I was loopy from the sedation.

what are your symptoms right now? two steroid enemas a day will definitely help but you need to think about tapering and maintenance medications. I would use one before sleeping and then another one when I'm home from work. I don't you have too many options there on time...

Main symptoms are major urgency, but stool is mostly formed.

Could you swap the morning Colocort for a Cortifoam enema? Much much easier to retain throughout the day and still effective in the rectum. The nighttime enema will get to the sigmoid.
