Hormones like cortisol are constantly changing. It is likely UC originates in something other than hormones, that said hormones play a huge role in remaining in remission.
Look beyond the pregancy example I posted where Cortisol sky-rockets prior to delivery. It was just an example.
Everyone has hormones they regulate the human body and are always fluctuating.
Again I do not believe hormones
cause UC - I believe they are strong contributors and indicators of flares.
So do we all have some sort of cortisol deficiency?

A-ha! Men get men-o-pause also.
Honestly I used to believe that men have some sort of monthly cycles too. Haha
