Had baby five half months ago had c diff twice on my third round now surgury

Haveing a J Pouch surgury , wanting to know more . I was hospitlized three days first round . Second one wasn't so bad , this one I am thruing up . I just want relief and don't want to risk with biological medications . I've had everything up moduators and that and I don't want to risk it . I want a better life and to be the best mom I can .

I am a bit confused by your post. Are you on the third step of jpouch surgery and are still having c diff?

Sorry I mean I am on third round of c diff I haven't had surgury for the firstbstep and wanting to know more about it

So sorry you are so ill. Have you had a surgery consult yet? The j pouch procedure is typically done in two or three steps depending on the patient's condition at the time of surgery. I had a two step procedure. Please feel free to ask me any specific questions. I will be happy to try and answer them for you.

I know every person is diffrent but I just want to be more involved with my famliy and I hope this will bring that, how long did it take for you to completly heal , I am alittle worried because I have took predinone and it dosnt respond to me and seeing as your body produces its own heal process I know I will probly have a slow healing and I am planning a wedding for next june and hope I have things under controll, my next apt is to let them know I have made this decsion and that is july third but I have to call I need in sonner I am going ten or more just as of last night and thruing up which is new. When I have this done does it cause weight loss besides the removal ?

How long it takes you to heal will depend especially if you say you have been on prednisone. Also, how long this is spread out will depend if you have a two step or a three step procedure. For me I had a two step so from start to finish it took 4 months. The first step was the proctocolectomy and the j pouch creation with the temporary diverting loop ileostomy. That took me a good solid 6 weeks to recover from. Then 3 months from the first step I had the second step which was takedown/ileostomy reversal. I healed very quickly from takedown and was back to my life in 3 weeks.

I would love to say you will be good as new by next June for your wedding but so many things will depend on that. If your surgeon wants to do a 3 step procedure it will be more like 6 or 7 months start to finish. I always say expect the best case scenario but prepare for the worse case. Complications can happen with any surgery. Make sure you consult with a highly skilled surgeon who has done many j pouch procedures.

I had major weight loss before surgery because my UC was so bad. I only lost a little more after surgery but once my diseased colon was out I was able to eat again and I gained some weight back.

I lost weight after surgery, but gained it back pretty quick when I realized I could eat anything I wanted.
I had surgery because I wanted to be a better mom, my son was almost 2 when I decided on it. I chose a permanent ileo, the bag, and I was able to do pretty much everything in about 2 months.
It will depend on how long you have to wait between surgeries as to what type of shape you will be in in june. You can always have the first step and not have the second until after your wedding.
