Amino acid therapy update-continued thread

Thought I would go ahead and start another thread. I have been feeling pretty good on the current dosage, but today I get my new dose. I have a c-scope scheduled for July 29th. Sooooo not looking forward to that. I seem to have combatted the extreme fatigue by taking melatonin at night, so that seems to be helping. Usually going about 2-3 times a day, but formed, and urgency is so much better. I will post again after I get my new dosage.

Hi lemonhead, good job on feeling better! He's yet to call me and it's been a week since I sent in my tests. You sent the in on the same day as me, last week Weds.

i stopped yesterday, again, I was so so so so sick for two days.

I'm trying that cccherbal and so far no trips to the bathroom except for this mornings normal stuff. Yesterday was about 50 no lie, I couldn't go but blood, it was terrible.

We'll see what the doc says on my change, if I do it at all. I'm going to give this ccherbal a few more days and see how I do.

I should have heard from him today, but I have not. I will call tomorrow, but I have not had any issue with his office as of yet. We will see what the excuse is for not calling me today.

Doc called back I guess I have flucuations with my results so they retested and now it's

one mucuna in the AM

still 4 neurplete a day

2 tablespoons of tyrosine a day (that's 30 capsules a day)

I told him I stopped the therapy I was so beyond pooping my brains out! he said start again,

Tyrosine is $185 a container, he said get two.....ok sure

and get more urine test $160 per each,

what I don't get is why if you're trying to heal people (and this has nothing to do with Dr. Stein he doesn't make the supplements) why is trying to heal or cure cost so much fricken money? People are already hurting. It's nuts!

 

Also he may not have mentioned but take a folic acid tablet (usually 1mg) with each dose of tyrosine. You can get it at pretty much any drug/health/grocery store.

I'm pretty darn sure dropping to 1 D Mucana is going to make a big difference. Let's see if it works!

Hmmm That as well is close to my dose. It will be interesting to see what happens. If everyone end up on the same dosage or if there are minor differences.

I'm really itching to see this work for someone else aside from me. I feel kinda odd having such a good response and no one else is. Makes me wonder if it's mental... in my mind... I can't see that being the case though.

Hi Lemon, I still have up and down days as well. But the down days for me now are more ummm.. perhaps like slightly loose stool versus fully formed. In any case I'll still take it simply because for the first time since I can remember I am holding my own, without any medications whatsoever...

I can leave without concern for a washroom and the majority of the day, if not the whole day I am perfectly fine. I have not seen full on UC like symptoms in a very long time. More IBS type (food dependent) now on occasion. And even then it is very minor.

I was wondering tonight if all the years on SCD altered my intestinal bacteria or something weird like that which has just made me sensitive to processed foods. I did share an ice cream and brownie desert Saturday night without any issue the next day. So this is new. Again I still mostly eat SCD/Paleo but add rice and potato on occasion now with zero issue so far.

Hi Mark, why the folic acid tablet? That's in the the supplements we take. Let me know I'm curious. No improvement on day three, lots of pooping and waking up in the night to go.

The folic acid is not in the tyrosine power - just in the capsules. So I take a folic acid tablet with each dose.

Also I had brutal reactions to to probiotics for a while. When I stopped them my stool returned to normal again. It was only over the last dosage change that I was finally able to add them back in. (Home Made SCD Yogurt and Keifer)

Now they work great. It as if the treatment changes the way your body reacts to things... like bacteria and so on. It was weird. Then again the whole treatment is a little weird.

are you feeling better today Lemonhead? I hope so. Do you think the Humira is helping a lot too?

Hey Lemon, that sounds a lot like me now actually. Two today (this morning) but formed and then I'll probably be fine till maybe around 6 pm or even the next day. No blood and actually no mucus anymore.

Again it's not perfect but no meds... And to be honest I actually can't remember what normal was like anyway it was so long ago.

For me it seems the longer I am on this the better things seem to get... it's very very slow though. Small changes over time really.

Are you going to stick it through for a bit and try and stop taking any meds? Just to see if it holds?

I'm trying to stay positive, really I am. I'm doing what I'm told, only stopping once for one day but every day is a challenge, I have not seen any improvement at all.

I was up all last night going to the bathroom. Yesterday I pooped my pants in Home Depot parking lot. I saw today at the same time I'm having this violet diarreah of poop at 11 30 am, three and half hours after taking my tyrosine.

I'm going and going and still going. I can't leave work to do my work and it's so frustrating. I literally have about 15 mins to drive then I have to be at a toilet, either it's supper skinny diarreah stool or it's blood with the uncontrolling pushing of my anus hanging out!

Sorry guys I'm going to give this another 5 days, that will be a week on tryrosine and see if I'll continue or not.

My butt is fricken raw, my fissure is back to bleeding and I don't want that to open again badly.
