Thanks LoLil, I will add the information when I re-write the list in a table format. I think if I were you I would increase amount of probiotics and be very careful with what I eat during pregnancy. I gathered that we are all different with regards to food that can be tolerated. However most of us cannot digest dairy, wheat and yeast. I made my list and it's written somewhere above. I can't say I don't have some nuts and almonds at the weekends. I pay the price and always promise not to touch it again. 13 years of uc I think I can forgive myself!

Great we have the internet nowadays which allows us to run our own data collection when FDA and the likes are holding us back.

O.K. I've had enough of waiting for the permission. I've decided to start the FTs on the coming Thursday. I will try my 16 year old son as a donor. I didn't want to do it as he's had problems with his digestive system for about 10 years. However, it should be quite easy doing it at home. I will give it a good try and if it doesn't work I will travel to my other potential donors.

My colon is in a quite bad state at the moment. During the next few day I will be preparing it for the enemas by only drinking the liquid from the chicken soup which is being cooked right now. I will have my first propare meal on Friday. I hope I can last that long. By now I'm used to fasting but for 3 1\2 days at a time and not 4 1\2. My son has a very healthy diet but a little bit restricted. He cannot digest meat, milk and pulses very well. He eats lots of fresh fruit and vegtables, oats, nuts, boiled eggs, home made tahini and some bread. (up until 4 years ago his diet had to be much more restricted). I know it's not ideal but it's what I have at the moment and I honestly don't believe it can make my situation worse than what it is. He's agreed to have a bowl of brow rice every day from today. I'm not going to take any medicine before and during the treatments.

I will try to update you as I go along the treatments.

I'm getting my gut ready for the first enema. I'm no taking meds. Just not eating! So far, from Saturday evening I have been drinking the liquid from the chicken soup and today I drank tea with honey. Thant's all. On Saturday the situation was bad very bad. I slept only for 2 hours, but I'm feeling ok now. Have not been to the toilet since Sunday lunch time. I don't know what is going on inside the gut but I've no pain coming from the stomach. From October last year that's all I have been having from Saturday evening till Wednesday morning/lunch. I never suffer all these awful symptoms when that time. It helped me a lot in keeping my part time job. Interestingly, when I don't eat, the pain from the joint (particularly the knees) and the lower back subsides. This time I'm planning to carry on the fast at least until Thursday and do the transplant either on Wednesday evening, when I'm back from work, or on Thursday. It all depends on my son's bowel movements. I gathered he doesn't go to the toilet during the morning but only when he comes back from school. I asked him to try and hold it in for when I am back from work! What a cruel and a terrible mother! All these crazy things we are willing to do in order to get better. If only my local donor weren't insisting in having it supervised by a doctor...

I'm planning to report on the situation daily and hopefully other people can benefit from the information.

Yesterday I watched Michael's and Ketty's DIY videos on The Power of Poop website. I'd watched it a while ago but somehow seeing it all over again helped me memorising the procedure and gaining encouragement. I also realised I'd forgotten to get certain things.

My son ended up having 2 bowels movements. One at 15:00 and another at 17:30. He said he couldn't hold it for any longer...I will ask him to keep it in the fridge for when I come back from work. Dr. Brandt wrote that it can be put in the fridge for up to 6 hours before the infusion and Michael said that sometimes his donor had put in there, so it should be still have the necessary becteria.

Anyone has a suggestion about the best cleaning material to use. I understand because bleach kills the bacteria it ccannot be used.

Yes, Guardian7, I'll be using the saline solution. I will mix it with the stool. I just don't know what's the best material to stirilise the blender with. I'm working today so I won't be able to buy anything for the first infusion. I suppose I'll just use the washing-up liquid for the first time and hopefully tomorrow I'll find something else.

Update: Yesterday morning I had a BM. It was solid but this happens sometimes after 2/3 days of a clear liquid fast. Usually all the problems start again about 24 hours after the first bite on Wednesday. I had some sharp pain last evening from the rectum area for about 20 minutes and I can feel the inflammation in the colon. I hope I go to the toilet again today and have an empty bowel ready for the infusion. Yesterday, when I came back from work, my son reported that he'd managed to keep it in until 19:00. I'm feeding him with the same food today! I hope to get back early from work and have the first infusion done this evening.

I'm running out of the chicken broth so I boiled lots of beetroots and I will take the water from it to work. I'm having some just now and it taste lovely. I feel it's very important not to eat anything solid until a few hours after the infusion is done.

Now I just hope I will manage to keep it in for 2 hours at least.
