rectocele and colonoscopy

I am waiting to see a gynecologist to confirm a diagnosis of having a rectocele made by my PCP. It is also time for me to schedule my biannual colonoscopy. My question is whether having a large rectocele can cause a problem having a colonoscopy. I have been in remission since my last colonoscopy in 2011 and have mild UC. Should I go ahead and schedule the colonscopy or wait until I know more about the rectocele? I'm a teacher and am trying to get everything done before school starts again in August, so I might have already waited too long to get the colonoscopy scheduled before then.
