OT- What are you guys watching on tv?

I don't watch a lot of TV but I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, check that out if you like sci fi. There's also a lot of emotional appeal in the new series.

I've had Netflix for years and I love it. I was addicted to Gray's Anatomy and Drop Dead Diva. Oh and American Horror story. I especially loved that one.

But on regular tv I have been watching Under the Dome, Falling Skies, Long Island Medium and The Killing.

The Killing is in its second season so I watched the first one thru Netflix.

I'm currently watching these tv series on Netflix: My Name is Earl and Arrested Development.

And of course there is cartoons and such and I've exhausted all of the seasons/episodes of Archer, shows like Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and The Boondocks.

I seem to watch lots of random movies, tv shows, documentaries, and stand-up comedy -- try a little bit of everything.

Get Out Alive (Bear Grylls' new show), NBC

Naked & Afraid (Discovery), we don't have cable and watch it online.

Siberia (stupid drama depicting a faux reality show, but we're hooked, it's that bad it's funny), NBC.

Camp (husband isn't as into it but it's like watching an old John Candy movie but each week, a pleasant escape), NBC.

Summer Camp (really stupid reality show on USA, we watch it online too but will probably cease watching it soon, it's that BAD).

Our summer viewing started after I read an article somewhere that said this summer's selections is like the Summer of Survivor (knock offs). And so that's how I would tell my husband, okay this article says we need to check out this show (since we like Survivor). Some he likes, some he LEAVES the room because they are so bad.

But by far our fave is Bear's new show - a cross between Survivor and The Amazing Race.

Finally, someone mentioned Lost, former rabid, addicted Lost fan here. Sometimes for sheer escapism, I pull up Through the Looking Glass Parts 1 and 2 on Hulu Plus and relive all that Lost glory.

Still surfing around with other TV series.

I've been a huge fan of Dexter since the first season. I can't stand The Walking Dead. I really like Hannibal, although I'm not sure it has a broad appeal and wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Although not current, Prisoners or War (season one and two) is an amazing show. It's a show I'd recommend to everyone to at least try out. I think Netflix is carrying both seasons.


Edit - Ooops, I meant to say Homeland. Prisoners of War is the Israeli series upon which Homeland is partially founded. Both great shows, but the American version will have a broader appeal with a North American audience, I think.

Man vs. Food is an awesome show when you're flaring and starving. I almost enjoy the food being eating vicariously. When I'm starving myself due to illness, I love food shows and watching family and friends eat tasty foods.

I know it sounds like torture but it helps me want to get healthier and better quickly so I can enjoy some good food!

Maaaan, I dunno why pps say breaking bad is sooo good. I watched the first 5-7 episodes, I thought it was aiiiiight.


My cousin is like *** MAN YOU GOTTA WATCH THAT...... I guess I'll have to give it another go.

I loved The Wire, the Sopranos, like True Blood, Game of Thornes, Spartacus.
