vsl3 and bleeding

Yesterday, for the first time, i took one sachet of vsl3 (normal) and today i have bleeding, before everything was under control. Have any of you had bleeding after vsl3?

From VSL you can have gas and diarrhea, not more bleeding. Think what you have ate or took besides VSL3.

I called my doc today and her theory is that my mucosa is so weak that any even a bit stronger peristalsis causes its irritation and bleeding (so this time it could have been caused by vsl). She may be right as now i'm not in a flare, not more than 2 bm (formed) a day with no visible mucus. Quincy, I take 2 asamax twice daily and salofalk enema theoretically twice weekly, but recently i had to take it almost every day. btw- do you think that there can be something as "enema dependence"? sounds stupid but i was wondering if it is possible that the frequent use of enemas makes you then impossible to taper them? i've never taken pred. i'm afraid to continue vsl, i was stupid to order so many packs, lots of money down the drain (or rather toilet)

Thanks for the answer Quincy. so maybe i'll give it another try. i'm so tired and furious with all this, even though i could say everything is ok, but i have a tendency to have blood without any reasons. the only thing that concerns me about vsl is that it contains l-casei, and i remember that before my diagnosis i used to drink enormous quantities of actimel yogurth which claims to have this type of bacteria, so maybe i'm a bit prejudiced against it now, even before ordering vsl i had some mixed feelings. but maybe i'm wrong about l-casei if it is a part of elafin which is supposed to be anti-inflammatory.
