I have had UC for about 10 years now and I have always struggled with finding a realistic healthy diet. I have read everyones diets, try this, don't eat that, but honestly, I can't make every meal I eat much less process it myself, juice it myself or make my own yogurt from scratch.
Here is my challenge, I work 8-5PM, I drive an hour to work and an hour back. I wake up at 4:45AM to leave by 7:00AM in order to "empty out" before my commute. I find that gas is the sore spot in my routine as when I have gas, I need to use the bathroom. I can't always tell when its substance or gas, plus even if its just gas, most of the time it has followers if you know what I mean.
So what would you recommend for me to eat with my routine and trying to stay away from gas creating foods? I do not eat vegetables, not much on fruit, dairy is gassy but I loved eating yogurt and fruit together. Cereal / breakfast would be a great meal to include in my routine, I just need to find some foods I can eat without setting my whole day up with gas trips to the bathroom. What's a good breakfast food for UC people?
